Revival boats are handcrafted masterpieces by an iconic Australian boat builder.

If you haven’t heard of Revival before, it’s very likely you’ve heard of Stejcraft. Sam Catanese, who founded Stejcraft in 1971 and ran the business for over 40 years, subsequently turning it into an icon of Australian boating, is back with new handcrafted hulls born of the same philosophy and decades more experience.

A really quick background – the hands-on craftsmanship that went into boat building in this era was renowned. Among his contemporaries such as Whittney and Haines, many of these quality hulls are still sought after today on the second-hand market.

Fast-forward, and Revival boats have now been operating for over 10 years. With many raving reviews, Revival boats is already punching above its weight among competitors like Stejcraft, Cruise Craft and Haines Hunters, but with a more attractive price tag. At least for now.

To learn more about his boat building philosophies, we highly recommend you hear it from the man himself on the Revival website.

What to expect in a Revival boat

Revival boats are designed for a comfortable, stable ride in all conditions. This makes them safe and ideal for family adventures.

  • They track dead straight when they take off.
  • You’ll enjoy a soft and stable ride.
  • You can remain confident if caught in strong winds or swell.
  • You’ll have options to fish, ski, stay overnight or simply cruise.
  • Provides years of lasting value because of its use of marine-grade wood.
  • Pound for pound it is extreme value when compared to other brands.

With that in mind, here’s a quick rundown on the models and options available to you…

Models

Starting with the R520 series, you get everything you need: a cuddy cabin to escape the sun or rain, and the ability to fish, ski, or simply explore, starting from a very competitive $40-50k including motor.

In the middle ranges, you’ll find the R525 and the R530 which pack a lot of punch in a small package. These are followed by the R580 and R590 which combine generous cabin space upfront and deck space out back, offering you the versatility to go and do what you want.

At the top end, you have the ultimate craft to spoil yourself and your family. The R640 has more room and comfort, including a toilet, freshwater shower, and a place to nap and recharge when the excitement gets too much. It’s everything from a professional offshore fishing vessel to a luxury floating caravan.

The Fitouts:

SportZ

We love that these come standard with what other boat manufacturers call ‘options’. We’re talking biminis, lots of dry and wet storage, navigation lights, internal lights, bow rails for safety, and underfloor tanks for convenience. Simply attach a powerful, efficient and reliable Mercury FourStroke outboard, and you’re set to hit the water.

Offshore

If fishing is your primary objective, the OffShore comes with additions such as rocket launcher rod holders, integrated horizontal rod racks to keep your rods accessible and practically stored, and a plumbed live bait tank.

Weekender

The Weekender series adds comfort and safety and is inspired by luxury caravans. Depending on the model, you’ll enjoy an upgraded bilge pump for safety, a full set of covers and clears for the sides to keep the mozzies and bugs out at night, upholstered side pockets, USB charging ports, and tables and awnings. Plus, and trust us on this, you’ll love the slip-resistant premium rubber flooring system – it’s heavenly on the feet, improves safety onboard and is much easier to clean.

X-Rider (Bowrider)

This is what family boating is all about. Being a Sam Catanese design, everything is thoughtful and practical. The package handles so well even a novice can confidently get behind the wheel. It’s quiet, turns beautifully, and there’s no need to overpower it. An affordable 135hp Mercury FourStroke will give you all the thrust and power you need. Inside you have pleasantly deep sides, wide seats for comfort, rear ladders that make jumping on and off endless fun for the kids, and a removable rear seat section that makes boarding not just easier but also much safer.

Plus, true to the Revival brand, the hull is designed to handle offshore seas. This means it truly is ready for anything, be it fishing, skiing, or taking the family out in the bay for a different perspective of our beautiful country.
